December 31, 2002 - Music Archive 1.10 release

Music Archive 1.10 is the first major update of Music Archive since it was first released. In the new version a number of new functions have been added and some old changed. Here follows a short description of the most important news and changes:

News:

Two big new things have been added in Music Archive 1.10. The first is that it’s now possible to delete a song file from a harddrive from the Music Archive menu system. In Music Archive 1.01 you had to switch to the Windows Explorer to delete a song file. The second thing is control of file existents when it is selected in Music Archive. In the old version the files were only checked when the list was refreshed, but now the files is also checked when the under select them in the song lists.

Changed:

In Music Archive 1.10 there is also a couple of changes that is worth to bring out. The first is the list of plugins that have been change so that it now shows the plugin title instead of the filename of the plugin. This makes it much easier for the end user to get a view of the installed plugins. The other change is in the database system. The way the database file Schema.DB is loaded have been change and this gives some great advantages. The Schema.DB file contains a list over the tags that can be used on songs in Music Archive, and the new version makes it easier to add new standard tags, without the need to upgrade the entire database.

Last but not at least there have been fixed a number of bugs in Music Archive 1.10. A list of the bug fixed can be seen here.
