January 15, 2004 - Release of File Renamer 1.10

File Renamer has been updated with a couple of new rename functions and a couple of user functions.

On the rename side there is two new big things. The first is that it now is possible to change the file extension. This can for example be used to rename a number of .log files to .txt files.

The replace function expands the number of options to make complex filenames.

The function makes it possible to replace a part of the filename with something else. For example you could change all occurrences of "PW" with "PublicWare".

The function can also be used to delete a word from the filename.

On the use side the biggest news is help texts on the menu. When holding the mouse over a menu item, an short help text will come up in the bottom of File Renamer. The text will explain what the menu item do.

In File Renamer 1.10 it has also become easier to rename all the files in a folder. In the Files menu you can now chose to add all files from a folder. This makes sure that you are renaming all the folders files.
