Two months after the release of File Renamer 2.0, is it again time to upgrade the File Renamer software. This time the release is a smaller upgrade to version 2.01.

After the release of File Renamer 2.0 a number of minor problems have been discovered with the software. The file list was not sorted properly and under some curtain stances an error message was displayed when files was being renamed. To fix theses problems File Renamer is now being upgraded to version 2.01. The release has focus on minor changes but a few new things have been added.

In the new version it is now possible to include the file extension in the renaming process. This makes it possible to change the file extension by letting the file extension work as a part of the filename. In the user interface it is now easier to select all files in the file list, either by using the select all menu, or by using the keyboard combination Ctrl-A.
